This privacy policy applies to the Poly_Chat app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by George Hunn (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Freemium service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".

Information Collection and Use

The Application collects information when you download and use it. This information may include:

• Your device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address)
• The pages of the Application that you visit, the time and date of your visit, and the time spent on those pages
• The time spent on the Application
• The operating system you use on your mobile device

The Application does not collect precise location data.

For a better experience, the Service Provider may require you to provide certain personally identifiable information. This information will be retained and used as described in this privacy policy.

AI Processing

The Application uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to provide its core functionality. This involves processing user inputs (such as text prompts) to generate responses.

User inputs may be processed:

• Via third-party cloud services (such as Ollama Cloud or other AI providers), or
• Via external APIs configured by the user

When using such services, user data (including prompts and responses) may be transmitted to and processed by these third-party providers.

The Service Provider does not control how third-party services process, store, or use data. Users are responsible for reviewing the privacy policies of any external services they choose to use.

User-Provided API Keys & Third-Party Services

The Application allows users to optionally provide their own API keys to access third-party services (such as Tavily or other AI/data providers).

• API keys entered by users are stored locally on the device and are not collected by the Service Provider.
• When a user provides an API key, requests may be sent directly from the Application to the relevant third-party service.
• Any data sent through these services (including user prompts or queries) is subject to the privacy policies of those third parties.

By using these features, users acknowledge that their data may be processed by external providers.

Third Party Access

The Service Provider does not sell personal data.

The Application may transmit user data to third-party services only:

• When necessary to provide core functionality (e.g. AI responses, search results)
• When explicitly configured or initiated by the user (e.g. by adding an API key)

These third parties process data according to their own privacy policies.

Opt-Out Rights

You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling it. You may use standard uninstall processes available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace.

Data Retention Policy

The Service Provider retains user-provided data only as long as necessary to provide the Application’s functionality and for a reasonable period thereafter.

Children

The Application is not intended for children under the age of 13.

The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If a child has provided personal data, please contact the Service Provider so appropriate action can be taken.

The Service Provider is committed to safeguarding your information and uses appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect data.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Users are advised to review this page periodically for any changes.

Continued use of the Application after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
